Conceit in the Workplace

Do you wonder why things are the way they are at work?  Do you feel something is wrong but you cannot put your finger on it?  Do you feel you are not privy to the so called higher knowledge which is known only by a few?  Do you feel that you just clock in and out and go unnoticed?  Do you see fellow workers achieve higher positions and more money and you know that it was not through good, hard, honest work but through deceitfulness and conceit?

Welcome to the real world of work!

Will it ever change?

The only thing that is recommended is that you do your best at all times, as things have a way of working out for the good of everyone.

Ephesians 4:1…tells us to live a life worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, making every effort to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace.   And it goes on to say in vs 14….we must no longer be children, tossed to and fro and blown about by every wind of doctrine, by people’s trickery, by their craftiness in deceitful scheming.  This was written several thousand years ago in response to another question; however, it is relevant today.

Have I always been patient?  Get real folks!!!!And what planet are you living on today?

Perhaps, just perhaps, your so called enemies have only known this type  of behavior because of what they have seen and done.  Fame is fleeting but truth always prevails.  It is that in between time, i.e.,  that time between treachery and truth,  that is so difficult to master.   We must always go back to the Golden Rule in our lives if we are to continue our quest for the right.

Never give up.  Ephesians 6:14…Stand therefore, and fasten the belt of truth around your waist, and put on the breastplate of righteousness.

The breastplate of righteousness……….AHHHH….now that is a story for another day.

Blessings.

If we are true to ourselves, we will strive to do the best that we can under all situations, if this is allowed to happen.  It is hard to stay under the radar and move quietly without someone noticing that you are getting ahead and that he is not.
