And the Wind Bloweth

Which direction is the wind blowing today in your business?

Zechariah 8:17…Thse are the things that you shall do: Speak the truth to one another, render in your gates judgments that are true and make for peace, do not devise evil in your hearts against one another, and love no false oath….

Would anyone care to guess how many disgruntled employees there are, how many mistakes are made and how many untruths are told during the regular business day because of a simple untruth told against another?

Why is this happening?

We want the prize – we want the title – we want the responsibility – we want the money – we want, we want, and we want.  It was my understanding that there are other persons also involved in the business who also want.

The decision making process sometimes means that we must step out on that limb and make ourselves vulnernable to criticism.  Would you like to be criticized for indecisiveness to the truth OR would you like to know in your heart that you told the truth and that you did not cover it with clutter.

Proverbs 9:7-9…Whoever corrects a scoffer wins abuse; whoever rebukes the wicked gets hurt. A scoffer who is rebuked will only hate you; the wise, when rebuked will love you.  Give instruction to the wise, and they will become wiser still; teach the righteous and they will gain in learning.

Learn the dynamics and motivation that urge each of your employees on towards productiveness.  Watch them, challenge them, advise them, correct them – but most of all- be truthful – wouldn’t you want that for yourself?

Now, that is a discussion for another day.

Blessings.
