Responsibilities

How much does the job pay?

What are my hours?

Will I have insurance?

How many weeks vacation do I get?

Do I receive a clothing allowance?

Is an automobile provided along with the gasoline?

Oh, I guess I really should  ask what you want me to do and are there any deadlines.

I guess I am definitely in the minority, as I have never asked what a job paid until I felt that I could do the job that was required.  And then……………………..

Where did our creative juices go?

Everything now is bottled with a tight lid.  It would seem that in today’s society, the cap cannot be taken off until the monies have exchanged hands and a  receipt given.

Romans 12:6-8…We have gifts that differ according to the grace given to us…….the giver in generosity, the teacher in teaching, the leader in diligence, the compassionate in cheerfulness…..

What do you bring to the table when you are in the interview process?

Is your entire being on fire for this job?  Can you see yourself helping others and being the servant that you need to be?  Is this the perfect opportunity to use your gifts in the helping of others?

There are life skills and business skills – they go hand in hand.  You cannot be given responsibility without having a compassionate nature for everyone.  Does this mean that you are always agreeable?  No – you should be honest and in your dealings with people, they need to know that you are speaking from experience and that you truly want to help them.

Are they scheduling wrong?  Have the right persons been hired for the job?  Have you trained them?  Is there support for what you are doing?  Can you talk openly with your supervisors?

Do your supervisors appreciate your honesty or do they not want to hear it?

How can you make changes occur within the framework of your current job responsibilities?  These changes must be for the good of all, not the few.  Are you up to the task?

Now, that is  a story for another day.

Blessings………………
